This is under photography but it doesn't seem to be capable of calibrating printers or monitors as far as I can tell?

vasquezriverThis could be used in retouching to match a color that does not read properly in camera when dealing with certain fabrics and color dyes. Some color examples that are difficult to capture in digital cameras are neon colors and blue/purples. Or to match a color to the limited colors available online in websites.

It's Matt here from Nix. We have a ton of photographers using the Nix Mini and Pro to get accurate Lab (or RGB) values into software packages like Photoshop. This can allow you to calibrate your photo to the real world color of the objects in the scene.
We also have a ton of people using the device for more creative use cases, like grabbing colors from real life products and designs and pulling them into Illustrator etc.

It's Matt here from Nix. The Mini and Pro don't have native color calibration built in for printers, but you can scan a print to find it's exact color and then feed that data back into your workflow software such as Photoshop or Illustrator to tweak the values.
