I'm not familiar with the knockoff Cherry switches - how are the Gaterons usually, both feel and durability/quality?

LaogeodrittI'd say Gaterons are the best cherry clones compared to the others like outemus. The bump on the gateron browns are more silent and less prominent than cherrys. Although, between the blues, there is not really any difference unless I would be nitpicking for it. I couldn't tell you how durable they are because I'm judging their difference based on my switch tester, but I imagine they'd be the same durability.

OriginalMannThanks! Good to know, I'll keep Gateron on my radar then.
I asked about the durability justly because it's harder to test (in hopes someone might've set up a rig to stress-test them or something and gotten some failure numbers/feel after 50,000 keystrokes/etc.—hmm, maybe I should do this) - if companies are trying to make clones, especially cheaper ones, they'd focus more engineering effort/budget into surface-level stuff like the feel when new, and longevity/durability (or maintaining that feel through a lot of use, if not outright failure) might fall by the wayside.
