Nixon Makes an Automatic in True Minimal Style
Nixon is known for its affordable and stylish quartz watches, but the company kicks things up a notch with the Supremacy: a 40-millimeter dress watch powered by an ETA 2824-2 25-jewel movement. Made up of slim markers and hands—and absent of numerals—the Supremacy is an exhibition in minimalism. Every hour, aside from 3, 6, 9, and 12, is identified by a single rectangular marker. At 12 o’clock are three vertical lines to orient the watch. A circular date window at 3 offsets the linear look. All that is packed under a sapphire crystal housed inside a barrel-shaped stainless steel case that’s water resistant to 100 meters.
