I can't wait until the IEMs finally arrive here in Switzerland. I ordered the Noble 6 mostly for my office. Here I listen at least 7-8 h music per day. At the moment im using Sennheiser IE80 and listen just from the onbard soundcard of my Macbook Pro 15 Retina. Do you guys think it would be worth it to get a dedicated DAC+Amp for the Noble 6? I'm currently thinking about getting an Objective 2 Amp + DAC (round about 250$). What do you guys think? Waste of money or worth a try?

BkidoYou definitely want to get a DAC, as the headphone output on the MBP (I have one, too) isn't that great for pairing. It's a bit noisy. That being said, literally any USB dac / amp would be a good improvement over the onboard sound. No need to go all-out on an O2/ODAC, but that may be good future proofing (make sure you buy it from someone in the EU, like Epiphany Audio, so you don't pay absurd taxes on it -- http://epiphany-acoustics.co.uk/products-page/headphone-amplifiers/ehp-o2-portable-headphone-amplifier/ ). You should also contact MD / Noble and let them know that you'd like them to send the N6 from their UK distributor, which should save you more taxes. Brannan mentioned earlier here that he'd be able to do that.

BkidoEchoed. ^ I hear that these IEMs handle the source really well and can make most things sound very very good, so there is little to worry about pairing wise. It's not a finicky pair of cans. However, I definitely agree, most computers (especially laptops) do not have that great of equipment for on-board sound processing, and it's generally advisable to bypass it in some way. That being said, it's not required; these IEMs are easy to drive, however if you plan on getting headphones that require an amp to function properly, it's a very worthy investment. I personally am using a Magni/Modi stack and enjoy every minute of it.

sq3rjickAfter some research i decided to go with the Chord Mojo as DAC/Amp. It's already on my desk and doing a great job with my Sennheiser IE-80 so i can't wait for the Noble IEMs to finally arrive.
