I received mine on Friday.
The pictured pens convey a level of translucency that mine do not.
There was glue residue near the cap ring on both pens. Looks and feels very cheap.
The materials used to create these pens look like that can not be any lower. Even mid level Jin Hao's can look down on these two.
Writes without the springiness or flex I was expecting, but I tend to write with feather-like pressure. The nibs otherwise performed up to my expectations. A flush probably wasn't necessary, as there's little to no silicon grease on the nibs.
Piston and vacuum feed systems work well. The std flex piston pen is leakier than the ahab, so a drier ink would be in order. Both are flowing within an ink adjustable range. Functionality has not been an issue.
In the worst case, it's making my other pens shine brighter, and the money is going in large part to good 'writing supplies' company.
I'd easily recommend either one at a lower base price.
Great news group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out from our warehouse and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.
Thanks again for the support guys. Drop by the discussion board and share your experience with the Noodler's Ink Flex Nib Fountain Pens (2-Pack). The community would love to hear your thoughts.

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. We are still waiting on the tracking number but our warehouse team will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 3/25 or sooner if something comes up.
I'll be keeping my eyes open (and my fingers crossed) for this drop coming back.
What the hell. This was a limited drop? Why didn't the page say so? Edit: Gah, it did, but in a different place again.
I thought I had time to sign up- really sad I missed out on this drop. Saw it go up but was unable to make a purchase at the time.
So bummed I waited too long for this one! Can't wait for you to bring it back, love my Noodler pen that I already have.
Ack! Too late!!
Thanks again for joining this drop! With your help we were able to make it successful for the community. We've just submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Noodler's Ink Flex Nib Fountain Pens (2-Pack) and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 4/1.
Rest assured that we we will provide you all with updated information regarding the status of your order throughout the process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 3/20.
Would buy at a higher price if it was the acrylic version.
Hi everyone -- The vendor initially made 100 units of each pen available, which we thought would be enough to last more than two days. In light of the popularity, we tried to make additional units available, but supply is limited and we couldn't make it happen this time.
Nitpicking, but...the Ahab isn't the largest, the Neponset is.
gfrank98
well the Neponset is really in a class of it's own.
I'm in! Yes with a Konrad would be awesome.
So this includes the converter, ink reservoir or whatever it's called? Also would it matter if I use Pilot iroshizuku ink? Or does it only take Noodler's ink
Pixel
They are all with piston filling system. And any ink works :)
bemed
Thanks for letting me know!
oh man, a konrad would've been even sweeter :) but this will definitely do! Noodler's flex pens might take a bit of tinkering to get it to work but these pens are still of great value.
MSRP on this should be $34, lower than the first tier price even. The Ahab has an MSRP of $20, and the Standard Flex aka "Nib Creaper" has an MSRP of $14.
aqua_scummm
Hey @aqua_scummm -- Thank you very much for flagging this, you are 100% correct.
I have made the adjustments to MSRP, and also to the prices at each drop point.
We had originally planned to include the Konrad (MSRP $20), but stock was not available.
The new lower prices will apply to 21 people who already Joined/Committed and all new orders.
JonasHeineman
Dang, I wanted a Konrad, but this is still sweet. I'm in. Thanks.
Is Nathan offering an add-on option for the fine/medium non flex extra nib? This is what I am thinking of: http://www.gouletpens.com/N18091/p/N18091

Also, the Goulet Pen Nib #6 works. I have turned both my Ahabs into regular XF nib pens by using the Goulet #6. Also, I have read elsewhere the nibs can be tuned by a nib meister also. http://www.gouletpens.com/gpc-nib6-tt/p/GPC-Nib6-TT http://www.gouletpens.com/gpc-nib6-ps/p/GPC-Nib6-PS
They are a bit more expensive than the noodler's, but in my experience worth it. Smooth and definitely were XF point nibs.
