Still wish there was something like this keyboard.
Check this Drevo out. I got it after the Annie Pro I bought was intermittently giving me huge input delay randomly while in wireless mode. The Drevo has been great. Not quite the same form factor, but it's inexpensive so it might hold you over until your perfect keyboard rolls around.
The choc mini is my favorite keyboard. I had no idea this version existed until it was.. apparently discontinued or something. For the love of god bring this back. I would pay $200-ish for it, easily.
Any chance this will come back around?
I've spent the last month looking for a wireless mechanical backlit keyboard - not easy to find. Hope this comes back around - and definitely looking for suggestions if anyone has any.
I got some bad news...
This one isn't backlit when in wireless and it seems a lot aren't. Probably because of the battery drain. I own this keyboard and am looking for one myself.
I would really like one of these with Cherry MX-Brown switches, non-backlit. Are these even made anymore? Noppoo's website and online presence is lacking, to say the least...
60% or less seems to be all the rage these days ,but unless you have something to prove, the Choc Mini is right in the Goldilocks Zone. I've got the 2M with Cherry MX Blues and red backlighting, and I think it is terrific. I'd love to see one drop with MX Greens and different backlighting options. Other than that, I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for something between 60% and regular TKL.
Hi, Just got mine, Hooray!!! MX-BLUE+RED led, Bought it in massdrop bazaar, ordered on 9/3/2015 got it a 16/3/2015 super fast (i am in israel, so a week is fast). Overall i think the build quality is BAD, i thought it was defective until i found it it has flimsy mini usb connector making it go on/off so i've replaced the the cable to a more rigid one and now it is working but i must be carful when i move it not to lose the spot. sometimes when i connect it, i get 3 blinks and i try again and again until it works
When it works,It works on all of my platforms(pc,mac and ubunto). NO manual at all, besides a small card with a serial number, for all the FN+F keys, need to look it over the net to find what is reset/key brightness and more... The wireless works ok although the receiver look like an old generation one(something from the 80's and not a more nano type receiver that i would expect in 2015) And NO backlight when in wireless mode WTF!!!
Over all, i give it 5/10 when it works it works, but if i lose the cable spot its a BRICK!.
I am just posting here to say so far I absolutely love this keyboard. As for the wireless range I've got a couple questions for those reporting awful range/latency
What interference might you have around the keyboard? As I was able to STEP OUTSIDE close my front door and still have the keyboard work perfectly fine. The computer was on the complete opposite side of my living room that the door is on. It also typed with no visible latency according to the person standing in the room at the same time. My house doesn't have thin walls either. So it's pretty great range all things considered.
Does anyone know where I can get one of these?
i just wanted to be clear on my order - mx reds with red leds - the list only says mx red - led (i am assuming this is red led right)
yes, it's red LED only.
If this was fully programmable like the ducky mini... oh man
I've had mine for maybe 2 months. I haven't tried the wireless as I heard beforehand that it isn't very good. I'm having an issue with keys occasionally entering twice. For me it seems to be the 'w', 'e', and 'r' (though I initially started with 'r'). Adjusting the debounce settings (I assume that's what fn + f10/11 are for) doesn't seem to help. It doesn't happen all the time; just sometimes I will be typing and one of those keys get repeated. Is there anything I can try to fix this?
Just wanted to say to people buying this keyboard for the wireless that it's not good enough. The latency is awfull from a certain distance where my old wireless keyboard has no issue at all.
How far are you using your keyboard? Mine has had absolutely 0 latency issues. I would try new batteries, etc. Considering I stepped outside my house and typed from my front yard with zero latency issues to test the range. You must be a good distance from the receiver. Or have it blocked by quite a bit of interference.
I'm like 4 or 5 meters away max, playing from my couch on the TV set. It's not practicable, I've tried different batteries and moving the receiver on the front side, nothing made it work.
Note that both a wireless microsoft and logitech keyboards works perfectly fine.
Any updates? I'd love to order a Cherry MX Brown version.
Just got mine today and I can't say I am 100% satisfied with the purchase....
While the keyboard came as described, the features advertised came with a caveat. I can't use the LED back-lighting without plugging in. Really wanted to stay wireless (or I would have just picked up the K65 RGB and called it a day) :( It would have been nice for the description to mention this.
I really love the board, just wish the staff was a bit more...thorough with the description
(and before anyone slams me, I am to blame too for not looking it up and assuming it would work)
So I got my keyboard (Red w/ LEDs) and I do not like this keyboard at all. It has the same issues as a previous poster mentioned, but I simply did not find it comfortable at all. I managed to fix the uneveness of the keyboard by putting a piece of an old credit card on the rubber foot that wasn't hitting the surface. But I simply did not find this keyboard a good fit for me. It seems I will remain with my CM Storm QuickFire.
OK... I'm feeling a few things here I want to share with Massdrop...
$11.50 higher than the prior drop? No problem. Like the keyboard, willing to pay it.
AFAIK I'm signed up for all the massdrop emails and read them diligently. After buying the last drop for this keyboard, I specifically re-requested this particular drop. But I haven't received ANY email mentioning that this keyboard became available again THREE days ago. None specific to this keyboard, nor the December Bazaar. That's a little frustrating, but I can let it go.
I want MX Blue Switches - no LEDs. And that's apparently sold out. That's more frustrating, but I guess I could let it go EXCEPT...
I previously contacted support about this exact "extra inventory" issue! I had ordered one with MX Reds. Don't love it. Decided to keep it anyway. Wasn't asking for a refund or exchange. But wanted to buy any available MXBlue-NoLED that might be available. Contacted support and was told this wasn't possible. And yet, here we are in the Bazaar, and I've not been notified, and now apparently missed the chance to buy the very thing I'd requested a re-drop for, watched for, and asked to buy. Frustrated - and NOT buying a different version.

Thanks for letting me know. I guess my confusion resulted from the Bazaar listing linking to the prior drop, which mentioned MXBlue-NoLED. I didn't realize that was not available at all in the Bazaar.
I look forward to a potential re-do of this drop in the future, since wireless mechanical keyboards, particularly small ones, are so uncommon.
Were you cancelling an order on one with blue switches? I'd love to swap my black for some clicky ones :P
would I be able to connect this to my android smartphone through its wirless like bluetooth?
I wanted to cancel this order, is it possible?
I've been told this isnt possible.
If you bought MX Blues with no LEDs, we can see if they'd allow you to cancel and just replace you with me. I'd take it.
I'm posting in response to the Bazaar special: Can anyone from Mass Drop guarantee the non-backlit POM version does not have rocking keycaps? If so, I may be down for one. I do not want to buy one with a known defect.
A quote from e-mail correspondence regarding this issue (I've sent the youtube link posted above):
"Don't be worried about quality as if you are having issues with your keyboard, feel free to e-mail and we will take care of the issue. ... That said, again if you are worried about quality, we will make sure you have a great keyboard. "
I still doubt it, but we'll see ...
Had this keyboard for a while now and have noticed a few problems, which if I had known I wouldn't of bought the keyboard.
1) In the LED version you can see the LED from under the spacebar glaring into your eyes which is really distracting. I had to put a tiny piece of cardboard over it to 'fix' it, check the pic.

2) Many keys rock back and forth as seen in this video which sucks, (

) I never had the rocking keyboard this guy mention during his video.
3) The numpad is always automatically turned on when restarting my PC, not sure if their is a way to fix this.
The keys rocking back and forth are the major problem, I really wanted to like this keyboard.
Too bad I've joined before seeing this... I hope it is an excemption, but my hopes arent up :(
Come on people, let's request it and bring this drop back!
I ordered one with Cherry reds to try them (no LEDs), and that's just what I received. While I like the keyboard overall, sadly, I've discovered I do not like reds. I'm hoping to order one with browns, or maybe blues, if an extra one is available, or if this drop is ever relaunched.
anybody from germany already received their keyboard?
Just received mine (shipped in France) had to pay an extra 40$ tax. Typing with it right now. Feels great.
The wireless worked out of the box on win7, and I'm on my couch so 6yards away, works fine. Even with the reciever on the back of my computer.
So I'm very happy everything turned out to work fine apart fromthe tax payment.
Received mine as well. Also have scuffed up keycaps, as well as scratched/dirty backplate... Anyone else's plate look used as well?
I just got a chance to unpack mine, and... I've also received blues w/led instead of reds w/led. I would just go with it but unless there was a misshipment from Noppoo in the first place, probably means I'm sitting on someone else's keyboard. Support emailed.
Just got it yesterday. The keyboard feels great! Getting used to the key layout is a whole different matter but it will be worth.
I also notice the keys have some wear/scuff/coating peel... anyone else have these as well? I wonder how the warranty would be like for the keys
Anyone in Europe managed to get his shipment yet?
