ApocryphiliacI just got the keyboard, I got the backlit version as well. What OS are you using? I'm using Windows 8 and all of the media buttons work great. I can also confirm that the backlight does turn off. It appears to have 4 brightness levels: off, brighter, brighter than brighter, brightest.
My keyboard does have a slight key rocking problem, but it isn't as bad as the one in the video. The right shift key is the worst, and I can't find a key around that I can use as a replacement. So I tried putting in a ctrl key and it still rocked. Then I started playing with the keys on my other mech which is a Quickfire TK and noticed the medium sized keys rock on that too somewhat. Guess it isn't just the Noppoo? Never really noticed it before and it definitely isn't an issue in everyday use.
As for the uneven keyboard, I had no problems. I tried placing it on multiple surfaces and it lays perfectly flat. This is most likely a QA issue with this keyboard, but I seem to have lucked out.
It came with a short USB extension cable installed into the back and the female end that connects to the longer USB cable is really loose. I tried pushing it in as hard as I could and it doesn't lock. So I'm afraid it will fall out. I removed the extender and plugged the longer cable directly into the bottom of the keyboard and the loose connection issue is resolved.
Only other problem I've noticed is that the space bar has a slight squeak to it when typing at high speed. Some lubricant on the stabilizer bar should fix that up though.
Other than that this board feels pretty solid and the blue switches and everything feel great. I'm really happy with the backlit version and when Vortex releases their PBT backlit compatible keycaps it'll be possible to make this keyboard even better, minus that pesky space bar. :)
[EDIT] I tried this keyboard in wireless mode with a MacBook running OSX Mavericks and it works. Not sure why people say that it doesn't work with OSX. The media keys work as well, but some of the alt functions on the function keys don't work. Such as sleep. I tried mashing keys and it appears the NKRO doesn't work with OSX.
