I love the look, layout, and switches on this keyboard. Sometimes when I use the modifiers in the lower left (ctrl or alt) with another key (like ctrl+c or cmd+w) the input gets stuck and it repeats my input until I hit another key. This means that sometimes I'll accidentally close all my open windows in an app (cmd+w) or paste something hundreds of times (ctrl+v) by accident -- only able to stop if I can hit something (usually escape) fast enough. Anyone else notice an issue like this? Could it be user error? Is this a feature that I'm accidentally activating sometimes? It would be nice to have a fix, it happens enough that I'm starting to look elsewhere for a replacement.
Just found a video, the boss of PLUM (for Noppoo) explaining design and functionality of the dual-mode (USB + bluetooth) RGB backlit Nano 75.
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XNjQyNDM1NjQ0.html
His choice of the 'lightning' connector was that it is more robust than the micro-USB; I am not sure if he is informed about that some/most of the lightning connectors in the market are not compatible with the usage on this keyboard.
He didn't mentioned the switch, but mostly the RGB lighting and the 3 layers with 1 fully programmable. Anyways, models with all kind of mechanical switches (including the Topre cone) have been spotted so far.
These dual-mode RGB models are super quickly gone on Taobao itself in mainland China, and almost never made it to the overseas market.
Update several min later:
I found it... with the cable...under the bottom layer of the package...

The keyboard has arrived... too bad that there is one key cap lost... Anyone has idea about what happened? Just a defect or they just want to show off the switch and hide key cap somewhere?
The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 3/4.

Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, but we will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

Thank you for your patience. Expect an update from us on 3/8 or sooner if something comes up.

If you have any questions, please visit our Help Center (massdrop.com/helpcenter).
I assume the other end of the lightning cable is USB?
Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Noppoo Nano 75-S and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/15.

We will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process. You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 3/1.

Somewhat of a mech keyboard noob here. Are 60% layouts the same as far as key spacing goes and actual key size? Just smaller around the edges and the like? Or are the actual keys and spacing different?
Larry13
The key spacing is not different from larger keyboards :)
Larry13
60% does not refer to the key spacing. it normally is used to describe keyboards that only have the standard alphanumeric section of the keyboard, i.e. without the cursor cluster, page movement cluster, function keys, or the number pad. This is normally around 61 keys. https://deskthority.net/wiki/60%25 This particular "60%" keyboard is unusual in that it has function keys in addition to the standard alphanumerics.
decent kb. sometimes the keys stick though, which is a pretty big inconvenience
fuccboyflex
Suspect the keys stick due to being CherryMX Red's which are the weakest in their supply chain.

Maybe someone from MassDrop Central should arrange that their factory in China starts to use and fill out orders with CherryMX Clears which would never stick when used.

They should stop using Red's when constructing any type of keyboard if they want to be taken seriously, within the hardcore keyboard community ; )
So sad I cant afford a mechanical keyboard right now.... I learned about them from this site and now I hate my cheap Walmart keyboard, it feels horrible. I really don't know that much about mech boards but I like the idea of a more responsive key set, and hopefully less finger strain.
Just got mine!!!
Exciting news group! We’re happy to report that all of the orders have been shipped out and are now on the way to you! Please allow 24-48 hours for tracking to get into the shipper's system and start updating.

We have some good news to share with everyone. Our vendor has been working closely with the factory to ensure that production goes smoothly. They expect to be able to ship our bulk order on 12/2, and transit time from their location typically takes about a week. We are currently right on schedule and are aiming to ship everything out of our warehouse by the estimated ship date of 12/11.

Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 12/7 or sooner if something comes up.

If you have issues with keys not registering, set your key rollover again. Happens to me occasionally and this fixes it.
This is one of the few keyboards I ever returned.

What's really cool and unmatched is the programming ability once you find the software hidden deep in the internet. The keycaps are "standard" sized, I simply put my Vortex PBT Doubleshots on the keyboard. The stock caps have an odd profile and terrible font.

But what really really breaks the deal with this keyboard are two major issues:

Connector: this keyboard has an apple lightning style plug and comes with a matching cable. No other lightning cables work ! Apple or mfi cables WILL NOT WORK and you are stuck with the flimsy crappy cable that came with the keyboard. Epic fail - so much wasted potential.

Compatibility: I wanted to take this keyboard with me when seeing customers and it's ideal for that due to the compact size and layout. But I just couldn't make it work properly with the thin clients at my main customer site. Occasionally a keypress was recognized and toggling though USB modes and Mouse settings didn't help at all. The keyboard did work fine with my pc at home and other compact keyboard work flawlessly with the thin clients (poker 3, pure pro)

I was very sorry this keyboard turned out to be such a disapointment. So much potential ...

Mind if I ask if you had any success with different cables? I'd be very interested in buying one of these if I could make sure that there were spare cables I could buy for it.

I don't use an iPhone and haven't ordered any third party cables yet due to people reporting them as not working (since noppoo changed the pin out)

I have tried a lightning to usb connector cable (since that was the only thing someone said he hasn't tried yet) and it didn't work either.

I'll probably try to route the connectors in a way to mount a mini usb instead of the lightning connector
