Founded by Kortney Hastin and inspired by the tough-as-nails men in his family, Los Angeles–based Norman Russell pays tribute to American grit, gumption, and manufacturing. This is the company’s take on the trucker jacket, based loosely on the iconic Levi’s 1953 Type II. It boasts the same blanket-lined softness and rugged durability, this time with a slimmer silhouette—and it’s made right here in the USA with 15-ounce selvage canvas sourced from North Carolina’s storied Cone Mills. Featuring extraordinary attention to detail and clean finishing, the Cooper is a workwear staple for the modern day.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice of size, from S to XL, as well as color: brown or navy. This jacket fits slim. Our model is 6'2" and weighs 175 pounds, and is pictured here wearing a size medium.
The Cooper’s big patch pockets and wonderfully soft flannel lining give a nod to the original Type II jacket, and the mini shawl collar creates a workwear aesthetic with a contemporary fit. The flannel lining on the brown jacket is classic through and through, while the navy camo lining on the navy jacket offers more of a vintage Americana appeal. The hidden placket features custom matte hardware, and the additional side pocket—hidden on the side seam on top of the front pocket—gives you a place to store smaller items.
