What will this do for me that my regular $1.00 cotton bandanna won't? Other than take more time to dry...

QHShowomanIt will actually probably dry faster but otherwise I think the cotton bandana wins out.

QHShowomanIts merino wool so it will, for all practical purposes, never stink in addition to really fast drying.

QHShowomanNot if you wear it. Wool dries from the heat source out. On numerous occasions I have felt warm and dry on the inside while wiping water off the outside of what I’m wearing. There is no synthetic or cotton product that will do that. Merino wool is absolutely the best, safest and warmest product for next to the skin in cold conditions. Now if nylon or spandex or any other synthetic or, heaven forbid cotton, is added to merino wool all bets are off.

AdwsailEverything dries from the heat source out doesn't it? But the real reason merino wool works wonders it can contain up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet https://www.smartwool.com/discover/why-merino-wool/merino-wool-101.html

NoldirActually no it doesn’t. An easy though uncomfortable experiment will remove all doubt. You need cold weather, 100% merino wool long johns, cotton long johns or any synthetic and rain/ water. Get wet, exercise, note the time it takes before you feel dry. Repeat with the other material. Simple and shockingly effective. Warning. If you have ever been cold and wet and you do this experiment you will spend serious money on the best merino you can find. It’s that effective.

AdwsailNote that we're talking about bandanas, here. Not merino baselayers or clothing. I don't typically wear a bandana. I use it to mop sweat off my face, wash up, etc. So the "dries from the inside out" argument doesn't apply.
