While you can produce a wide range of sounds with a digital synthesizer, your instrument lacks the warmth, smoothness, and natural response of an analog counterpart. Built with an analog signal path that sounds closer to an acoustic instrument than a computer transmission, the Novation Bass Station II Analog Synthesizer comes with all of the controls and filters you need to create your own sonic palette.
An update of Novation’s classic Bass Station synthesizer, the Bass Station II features 25 velocity sensitive keys with assignable aftertouch, 64 factory presets, and room for 64 patches of your own invention. Once you’re locked into your groove, take to the two oscillators, sub-oscillator, and dedicated knobs and faders to tweak your tone to perfection. As the Bass Station II can be AC or USB powered and includes a MIDI output, you can use your device as a standalone instrument or in concert with your favorite studio software.
To set your sounds to a specific rhythm, take to the built-in arpeggiator with octave control and 32 different rhythmic patterns. If you’re ready to write your own arrangements, create and edit sophisticated instrumentation with the step sequencer. For one last customization, the Novation Bass Station II Analog Synthesizer lets you pick between two distinct filter designs: Classic, which takes a more traditional approach to tones, and Acid, which enables darker, wetter, and smoother sounds.
