WerdsMadaThe price currently on JRR is $399, unless I have missed something.
At Massdrop, we strive to bring products to the community which have been requested or may be of interest to the community. We do not attempt to compete with other retailers, since we look to grow our community through discussion and shared appreciation of these products. If you need this synthesizer right away for a project then by all means purchase it. If it is the thing you really want or need we want our users to be happy.
However, at the lowest drop point, after shipping, our price is the same as JRR's, and that is how collective buying works. The more people who participate, the greater the savings. If we were to just cross swords with every other online retailer we would be doing a grave disservice to you and all our members.
Thank you for your post and for being a part of Massdrop.
WerdsMadaThat is odd, because when I went to check out, the price did not change. Either way, we cannot and do not chase others' price crawlers or work around what other standard retailers do. We are a community curated by our community members, not just some online pro audio store.
We work very hard to bring the products most wanted by our members, to their respective communities and to offer the best price we can and /or are allowed to offer.
I hope you were able to get the thing you wanted and always feel free to share any information you come across.
SeanReidThe price of the Bass Station II went back up to $499.99 (it was $399.99), but the $75 off discount still applies once you place it in the cart. You just have to scroll down to the Grand Total to see the price reduction. I'm not saying Massdrop needs to chase others' price crawlers. I'm just letting you know it's causing me, and probably others, to do more research before making a purchase from this site.
