Do LEDs fit on these?

mjin955Not on them, but SMD LEDs work with them. I'm currently using these on all three of my boards with SMDs. Those are the surface mounted LEDs that you see at the top of the switch area on the PCB. It will shine through a box on the top of the switch. If you have a GK64 or any of the GMMK keyboards, I can confirm they work great.

controlFor clicky, you need 1.8mm flangeless. The led would not go through the switch but would be below it. You would solder in the led before the switch.

Al41I would not but here is a picture of my S65-X with Box Navy switches and 1.8mm Warm White LEDs at max brightness using SA Carbon keycaps.

TanvirK175Beautiful! Thanks for the reply. Those look plenty bright. I also found a good comparison between smd/lightpipe and smd/no lightpipe under the speed switch drop discussion. I think I'm ready to commit to the pale blues and 1.8's now. Thanks for your help

mjin955I just finished all three of my hot swap builds using the Kailh Box switches and SMD LEDs. Here are some pics with both Dyesubbed and Double Shot PBT backlit keycaps.
first gen 2016 GMMK full size red led board with red gradient PBT Double shot backlit caps

GK64 with Box Navies and PBT Dyesubbed keycaps and a Captain America backlit novelty cap

GMMK TKL with Box Browns and iKBC PBT Double shot backlit cap

Both Kbdfans and PCGamingRace have great close up pics of the type of lights they use. That may help you verify and choose.

How do you do per-key RGB lighting on a Shift V2?

I saw the online configurator that lets you do this on the Shift V1, where it spits out a compiled firmware file to flash. The V2 doesn't seem to have this function in the Windows configurator, though. I can't imagine the answer here is "you're going to have to manually write the hex for every key in QMK, compile it, and flash that".
