This is super cool! I love how the letters are engraved into the keys; I don't think I've ever seen that before. They look thick too.

ApplehuggerMost cheap keycaps use laser engraving. It's considered bad because you can feel the lettera and it will ware off over time

ZxcckklWell compared to plastic labels or printed-on labeling, laser-etched is preferred. It's not as nice as doubleshot, but these are also like 0.25 each, and are PBT! If you're upgrading from ABS that's worth it alone.

wolfinIt's a myth that PBT > ABS. The only inherent difference is that ABS will get shiny with use. Some people like that. To the point that virtually all the really really good keycap sets are ABS.
Personally I hate the feel of laser engraving. It feels rough on the finger.

It's because ABS is easier to doubleshot. Also, did you forget about all the high-end PBT dyesub sets out there? Like the ones SP and EnjoyPBT make?

ZxcckklWell, I would much rather have laser legends than pad printed ones. Also, these seem to be laser engraved legends, not laser printed (which typically produce an off-white colored legend which is prone to discoloration.) At this price, for stealthy, thick PBT keycaps in black with dark legends, I think they're well worth it. My Tai-Ho double shot carbon black keycaps were over $50 with shipping.

PadnaI'm not saying there's not really good PBT. I'm just attempting to dispel the illusion that ABS sucks compared to it. This is cheap PBT, there's nothing better about it than ABS imo.

TelFiREIf you don't mind shiny keycaps and don't plan on dying your keycaps then yes, there is nothing "better" about PBT. Personally, I want all of my keys to look perfectly consistent. Shine occurs on the most frequently used keys, so I don't buy ABS keycaps. Shiny keycaps drive me up the wall. Obviously this set is not suitable for dying, so that's not an issue.
Edit: Actually, I just realized that the "Shell" color would be a perfect candidate for a custom dye job, which wouldn't really be possible were these ABS keycaps.
