Hey, don't these work with Android phones? I haven't been able to get this paired with my Sony Xperia Z and my OnePlus 3. I received it today, after a month's wait and I'll feel like an idiot if these don't work with droids.

shashidhar_smNever mind. I got it to work - had to reset network settings on my phones and restart them several times. Aaargh!
Strangely enough, these earbuds worked perfectly fine with my MacBook and my iPhone!
So, for other Android users out there - if you can't get it to play music (i.e., Bluetooth Settings report 'No Media Access'), try this: > Rename your phone's Bluetooth profile name > Reset Network Settings to default > Try pairing again. (if this doesn't work, try restarting your phone and repeat the above). Good luck!

shashidhar_smOf course works with Android! Do you have the earphones in pairing mode? When the power is off, please press the middle button on the remote for 6 seconds and you should first see a blue light, and then blue and red leds blinking.
Please let me know if this helps.

shashidhar_smSorry my browser didn´t show your last message at first. Thank you for troubleshooting this. We haven't had any issues to pair the BE2s with Android but we will take another look at our side!
Glad that the earphones are working now!

JyriOh well, turns out I have to do this every time I pair my phone. I disconnected the earphones before dinner and they aren't working again - My phone says 'No media access' and I can only answer calls.
I have to repeat the steps all over again every time I pair - this is a pain.

shashidhar_smThat shouldn't be the case. Can you try to reset the earphones - in pairing mode (red and blue LEDs blinking) press all three buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds until red LED blinks 5 times (you should also hear 5 short tones from the earphones).
If this doesn't help - could you please contact us so that we could support you via phone or email? Worst case we swap the earphones to a new pair. Our contact details here: https://www.optomausa.com/us/tech-support/contact-us-americas.aspx

JyriThank you very much, Jyri, for the continued support.
I reset the earphones, and I think that did the trick, almost. Now, when I connect my earphones, it pairs fine but 'Media audio' still doesn't turn 'on' - at this point, if I press the power button on the earphones, 'media audio' starts working fine. I guess that is good enough for me; I do not mind pressing the power button again to complete the connection - I test hardware and software every day (my day job!) and this isn't much of a hassle ;)
Will report back in day or two on how it goes.

shashidhar_smThank you for the feedback. We certainly wouldn't want you to do more testing out of your day job, our apologies for that. We've tested the BE2 with roughly 20 different Android phones and 8-10 software versions. We will test further and I think my colleague has Sony Xperia Z as well.
Please keep me posted and I´ll come back to you also if I have anything new to report.
Thank you so much for your support! I hope you enjoy using the earphones. :)

JyriI have an Xperia XZ1 and have similar troubles. I have to press the middle button several times before media audio is enabled. The volume buttons also do not work. After a week, the earbuds also no longer hold a charge. They keep powering off after a minute even after an hour or two of charging. I'm not sure if this is a one-off defect, but I can no longer use these earbuds.

JyriThanks for sharing that you can reset the earphones by pressing all 3 buttons at once. Got it to start playing music from my OnePlus 3 again.

JyriYou should put this on a FAQ on the website. Finally got the pixel 2 XL connected. I'm a software developer and I m used to find workarounds, but just make it easier for people to find info. How to reset, and the thing of pressing the central button afterwards.
