Just received mine, couple of issues with it: it is always in pairing mode when there’s no device connected and the optical out does something funny if there’s nothing playing so the DAC interprets it as noise and plays noise. That makes it useless for what I wanted.

I have a bluetooth receiver in my windows 8.1 computer motherboard, but I can't figure out how to stream audio from my phone to it. Frustrating, so I guess I'll need this?
What would happen if I plugged wired headphones directly into this?

I think you'll find typical line level is 2Vrms, not peak to peak.

Can you just buy one item instead of a lot to make sure that's the item that you need for your purpose. Then if it meets the standards that are required then ordered by the case lot

AptX HD and Bluetooth 5 would have me on board. Otherwise, meh.

I own the Belkin SongStream NFC-Enabled HD Bluetooth Wireless Music Receiver. I cannot understand why thie NuForce is priced at $100 when you can but the Belkin for $45.99 https://www.amazon.com/Belkin-SongStream-NFC-Enabled-Bluetooth-Wireless/dp/B00KX3DQXM/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1512370715&sr=1-3&keywords=belkin+bluetooth+receiver+for+home+stereo

Good point, but one needs to make sure that all his BT devices are aptX compatible.

Anyone know of a bluetooth receiver that matches the schitt stack? I've just been looking recently and may grab this drop. Preferable with a Coax / toslink out?
Also if anyone has this, is it plastic?
Interestingly enough it seems NuForce just throws their brand on this? Heres what seems to be the exact device with peach tree https://www.peachtreeaudio.com/bt1-bluetooth-receiver.html (except this one says no ACC) <- seems a lot of firms sell these.

Step back, realize the functionality you are going for,, and don’t look at the little space pod giving you the finger;) The Auris bluMe I'm referring to; you want that wonky antenna:)

Does the audio streamed from an Android phone still get processed by the OS? I ask because a direct steam sounds much better. I use a Chromecast in my work setup instead of directly connecting my dac to USB to get around this issue. Problem is it's too much of a pain pairing to the phone over the phone's hotspot (can't attach to WiFi at work). My feeling is this will have the same issue a USB connection does and not provide a clean bitstream :/

has anyone looked at this compared with the taotronics model? seems to do more and cost less. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KO1JNCA/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I1U62V8S3903J6&colid=1QEQTBV4Z2BT7&psc=0
wavedaveI own this. It works great and as you already pointed out, is much better value for money! I get a stable connection.
Alternately, you can get this as well - https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Simultaneously/dp/B01N9PI9T6/.
Both the models above and below come with Apt-X Low Latency.
As a fall back, this one is also good value for money - https://www.amazon.com/TROND-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Controller/dp/B01K8ANDCI/. No Toslink optical ports though.
Hope that helps.
