+1 very satisfied user (1 year so far) :)
They are a bit bass leaning, but not at the expense of other frequencies. Absolutely no sound fatigue even after long hours of listening. I enjoy their sound maybe even a bit more than AKG K553. I would not hesitate to buy them again even for MSRP (which I did), for 59$ these are absolute bargain. You will not want to use Hifiman RE-400 or other sub-100$ IEMs ever again.
I must admit though that both my earpiece outer covers fell off after a few months and had to superglue them back. Did not damage the look nor sound :) On the other hand, cable seems pretty sturdy and survived a few jolts.
My recommendations: Burn them in. In this case, it is not a placebo. And use comply earplugs, prefferably without "wax filter" (it deteriorates the sound). Unfortunately, these come with the wax filter version, but still better than silicone tips.
TL,DR: Buy them, burn them in and enjoy them as much as I do :)

gzhang11Well, not this time :-) I considered returning them after first listen and at least two other people on head-fi say the same in their reviews. Could be specific for this product, frankly I did not hear any improvement in Hifiman HE350 for example. I don't think NE800M need huge number of hours, it got better after week or two of normal listening.

gzhang11i used to think so to but i have at least 3 pairs that i can swear sounds different then they did one year ago. The philips fidelio l2 had so sharp highs when they were new so it was painful.. today i love them so either my ears have changed or they have.
