The headphones are awesome in terms of sound but the quality is seriously lacking. Received these on February 16th and the cables are now is exposed. The sound now distorts in each ear with the cables having to be moved to resolve. For what is being labeled as High Def quality earphones you expect that at least 6 months of operation to be something that can be achieved. I have been looking for a replacement cable with no clear alternative that ensures that they are both compatible and able to provide the sound with no loss of quality.

Skylar77I have finally found a good cable replacement. It's the Fiio RC-MMCX3S, which is also bundled with their F9 Pro IEMs. It fits securely to the earphones, has no noticeable microphonics, has a decent mic and a 3-button remote with volume adjustment buttons that work with many Android phones. One caveat is the length; I'd like it to be a bit longer (it's only 1.2 m long). There is also a balanced model for the same price (RC-MMCX3B), but it obviously doesn't come with mic and remote control.

Skylar77Also, I thought that I should mention this to any NEW NuForce users/buyers. I've had EVERY pair of my Nuforce IEM's break on me more than once! The first pair I bought brand new from MD around Christmas last year [EDC IEM's] were broken and had a blown DD within two hours of listening to them. Got a replacement pair and sold those when they were working shortly after getting the replacement pair, because they didn't have a high enough sensitivity and low enough impedance for my listening wants and needs. Got a pair of the HEM 2's, broken and blown drivers AS SOON AS I used those. Just threw those away honestly because they sounded like garbage and didn't even want a replacement pair or sell something that terrible sounding to anyone else. Then the first pair of Primo 8's I bought brand new/unopened on eBay were blown IMMEDIATELY after opening them. Got another New [but opened box, thanks again for that, NuForce] of them straight from NuForce on Amazon, and those were blown after barely using them recently. Got a replacement pair about 1 month ago and sold them on eBay before I opened them. And NuForce will give you a replacement pair and are good about that, but it takes over a month to get them usually, and they are only so willing to keep giving you replacement's because they know their products [at least their IEM's], are JUNK IMO :( I am NOT listening at loud volumes, and I'm listening to my LIVE recordings I make with my own Schoeps mics and Sound Devices recorders, which have WAY LOWER levels/volume than regular albums and music do. So there's NO reason why they kept breaking and blowing out on me. If you ask me, they're JUNK CHI-FI products with TERRIBLE Quality Control. I wouldn't buy another pair of these, or ANY NuForce products EVER AGAIN, if they were $20, or hell, even FREE to me!
