Is this an updated version where the shell paint doesn't flake off? Some of the accessories is different than the original I use to own.

dealaholicThey sound very good, I prefer them over the Westone W40's. These ones have a more energetic, engaging sound - very fun to listen to (they still have a neutral sound signature.). They respond very well to an equalizer as well - I boost the bass and tame the upper mids & lower treble frequencies. They can be a bit fatiguing at high volumes without an equalizer. Getting a proper fit in the ear is extremely important and can be hard to do at times - this is the downside of the Primo 8 imo.

dealaholicI own a pair of these, they sound great but the beautiful blue paint started flaking off after around 4-5 months of usage. And I keep them in a Pelican case, so I'm not exactly rough with them.

JyriIt's all good, I've owned my pair of Primo 8 for close to 1 and a half years now and have long come to terms with the paint flaking. Thankfully, I really enjoy listening with them!
