Named after the Columbia River—located near the NW Tops workshop in Northwestern Oregon—the Columbia spinning top spins long and smooth, just as the river runs. With a 1.25-inch diameter, the top is fairly large, but this is also what makes it spin so well. The wide body creates a low center of gravity. Pair that with the ceramic contact point and you’ve got a top that easily delivers spins over 10 minutes long with a good surface and some practice. For grip, the Columbia has a hollow spindle with deep grooves along the outside. The base price is for the aluminum and copper version, but you can upgrade to tungsten at checkout. Nearly twice as heavy, tungsten has a similar density to gold, which makes it spin even longer than the copper version.
Note: At checkout, choose between the copper and tungsten (+ $85) version.
