I got the black one for my most recent build. I know there are many reports of issues with strips dying or the controller not detecting the strips, and wanted to say that so far (fingers crossed) all 8 strips and controller continue to work without fail after nearly a year of 24/7 operation. Similarly, I've had few if any issues with the CAM software on Windows 7, other than it likes to eat through a ridiculous (and unacceptable) amount of network data for reasons NZXT has yet to truly clarify - probably about my only complaint really.

brodie7838My Hue+ has also lasted as long, running 6 strips. My only complaint has been CAM updates which seem to delete all my color profiles, however they are easy to remake. I have a white case so this would fit nicely, and my color accent is purple. I considered covering the control box with white vinyl, as I did with my power supply, but I just tucked it away instead. I need a second unit to control some AER fans tho.
