When O’Douds Apothecary founder Clayton Douds couldn’t find the kind of grooming products he wanted—high-quality formulas, responsibly sourced ingredients—he started making his own. Within a year, his hobby of crafting pomades became a full-time business, and the product line expanded to include everything from shampoo and conditioner to beard balm, aftershave, candles, and cologne Read More
I got on board the last drop and am getting on board this one as well to stock up. This is a good deal for quality products. Beware regarding the deodorant though - over the years, I've seen commercials for deodorants that leave a white residue on your shirt and wondered, "What deodorant actually does that?" I've found the one they were talking about here. Aside from that, while I'm not living in the most demanding place heatwise (Alaska), the deodorant seemed to do its job.
I purchased this last time and I liked the deodorant, however my wife was unimpressed. She said it reminded her of old spice or axe body spray (aka something a teenager would use to smell better).
The beard oil/balm was a fail for me, as it somehow seemed to be greasier than my normal oil/balm while drying my beard out.
Never used a balm before but my beard gets more unruly by the day. I do use an oil every day. Do you beardos use a balm at all? Is it an every day type product?
EndlessBenNot that you probably need more affirmation, but regular beard balm user. Helps with styling and moisturizing (important if you have a significant other to keep happy - nobody likes a crunchy beard). I've tried wax, beard control (by Billy Jealousy, has a consistency like a moisturizer), and balm, and I use the balm the most. Can't speak for this brand I'm particular, but the balm I use is all natural and works well, so this one looks good.
