pima1234Can't be sure of it, but I always thought they were all made by Rancourt. They are all Made in Maine at least.
These also have a different sole from the Gustin boat shoes,

ChurchillWNice to catch you on here. Thanks for the reply. The Gustin ones are good. Rancourt is nothing short of amazing. And, I've never been disappointed with anything from OSB.

ChurchillWFrom Gustin's CXL boat shoes description: "Our boat shoes are constructed by hand in Maine by a group of craftsmen with over 20 years experience making footwear. They have perfected their craft to the point where the industry's biggest and best names, including Sperry, use them for production."
So I'm going to guess Quoddy? (Just a guess.) Rancourt just celebrated 50 years in business, not 20. And I read somewhere a few years back that Quoddy were the ones behind Sperry's "Made in Maine" collection.

jsizzzlerThanks! I stand corrected. Was not aware that Quoddy was made in Maine too.

pima1234Actually, reading this article from footwearnews.com, not sure how reliable that website is, it says Oak Street set up their own factory in Maine:
https://footwearnews.com/2012/business/news/oak-street-bootmakers-focuses-on-u-s-manufacturing-140769/
" Vlagos bowed Chicago-based Oak Street Bootmakers in August 2010 after his father discouraged him from joining the family business. “He wanted more for me,” said Vlagos, whose line is centered on classic boots, loafers and boat shoes handmade in the U.S. But the shoemaker wasn’t satisfied simply producing shoes here. In addition to setting up his own factory in Maine, outfitted with machinery he acquired at auction, he sourced all the components domestically "

ChurchillWYou're welcome. Like I said, it's just a guess; it could certainly be Rancourt. (e.g., I'm fairly certain Rancourt does Eastland's "Made in Maine" collection.)
Anyhoo, for pima1234's original question: I think you'd be comparing the OSB's to either Rancourt or Quoddy, since it's probably one of those two that makes the Gustin boat shoes. All of them use CXL and the quality from any of those manufacturers is going to be top notch. (I can personally vouch for the quality of OSB boots and Rancourt penny loafers.)

ChurchillWI had read that Highland was making their mocs and PW Minor was making at least their Trench line, but that was a few years ago. Honestly, the Trench line is my favorite from OSB, but I want to try a pair of their hiking boots.
