What would be a last Or shoe made by Oak Street that would be in store to try on? Its not worth the risk getting stuck with a pair of shoes that are not comfy. I like the design enough hopefully I can do a future drop.
They seem to be exactly what I'm looking for, but I wear a size 7. Why is Massdrop only offering down to a size 8 when Oak Street makes down to a size 6? Some of us have small feet.
I do a lot of dancing and leather can be much nicer on the knees than rubber (depending on the dance type and floor), so a couple questions:
1) How well do the laces keep the shoe secured to the foot? Particularly when spinning.
2) What is the dovetail heel made of? If it's wood, I would need a guarantee that I get the full rubber (wood can be hard on the finish of some dance floors).
Are you sure? I'm no expert but I do own quite a few pairs of dress shoes and boots and I've never seen this. Are you sure it's not just leather with the appearance of wood? See e.g. this thread: https://www.styleforum.net/threads/wooden-soled-shoes.290195/
