Final sale on shoes? Really? With lasts being so inconsistent from maker to maker, that makes no sense to me.

steevenb43These are made-to-order in many styles that OSB doesn't sell on their site. Since most of these boots are a one-off, exchanges are impossible. That's the nature of having things made expressly for you. The good news is that OSB shoes are available in many locations and there's lots of sizing info out there so learning what size you are shouldn't be too tough.

IanAndersonIan, I appreciate your reply but even "same size" shoes and boots differ in fit. I've had Red Wing Iron Rangers not fit with one pair, but another sized identically does fit. This Final Sales stuff makes no sense, with shoes and pants - and prevents me from participating, for which I am sad, but my wallet, happy. Best of luck!

steevenb43It's true - as an ecommerce company taking orders for things that aren't made yet, you won't get to try the exact pair you want to buy on. For a lot of people, the discount and opportunity to customize are totally worth it. Others aren't interested. I totally hear you, but the alternative is to have no drops like this on our site, and that would make lots of people sad :)

steevenb43Hey man, something that might be helpful is talking it through with other interested parties regarding their shoe size. I can tell you that I take a 9.5 in OSB Trench Boots, 9 in Rancourt Beefroll Penny Loafers, 9 in Clark's Desert Boots Originals, 9.5 in Cole Haan Dress Shoes, 10.5 in Vans, 10.5 in most athletic shoes (Nike, New Balance). I've tried in Red Wing IRs before and 9 seems to fit. Maybe some of that will help!

LivingInTheDoldrumsLOL, exactly my point, sizing and lasts are all over the place but seriously- thanks for that, I do appreciate the insight, but shelling out $ for something that might not fit right and wind up in the back of the closet with the other slugs just isn't in the game for me. I've learned my lesson.
