I rebuild transmissions. Two of my co-workers bought OEM battery impacts. While they were the 3/8 version both have failed, one of which started smoking on the first day of use.

Heavy duty? With only 300 ft/lbs of torque? My 3/8 has more than that in a smaller package as well.

MerriganIt's hard to say because every company uses a different measuring method to make them seem more powerful. only way to be sure would be to buy one and send it to AVE on youtube.

MerriganFor real man I bought a snap on one about 15 years ago and that had 550. Granted there alot more expensive but to do real work like rusted lug nuts your gonna need north of 500 torque.
