I was trying to put together a list of Tree-Paper alternatives for a vote, good to see something dropped despite my intensely over-extended schedule (read: procrastination).
Unfortunately, Massdrop's choice is the stone paper. Of the three (stone, sugarcane [bagasse] and cotton), stone was my least favorite sustainable paper tech for all the reasons cited in the comments above, plus it is reported to be heaver than other notebooks of comparable pages (being made of stone and all) and not really all that eco-friendly as it contains plastic and can't be recycled through traditional means. http://www.wired.com/2013/02/stone-paper-notebook/
Massdrop, please keep looking at high quality tree-free paper regardless of how well (or not) this drop does. I love the sustainability and eco-friendliness of my fountain pens and jars of ink ('cause that's why I buy them, not because they're gorgeous!) and would appreciate an equally eco-friendly paper to round out the trifecta.

TomaCzarWait, so was stone paper the big winner or the least favourite?

TomaCzarAh I see, not a problem that makes sense. Thank you for taking the time to research those three options. I think a lot of us would have dived on this if we didn't know how it really performed.
