Then I went looking for actual new fountain pen drops today and felt even more disappointment, there are none!

JaggiThe Bexley's all right, so's the Pelikan 815 (I'm all Pelikan-ed out for now though). I was always curious about the nib on the Waterman Carene, but never enough to spring for one (but the price here is tempting). What pen would you like to see in the next drop?

RayFYou're shopping in a more expensive neighbourhood than anything I've seriously considered so far :)
I'm still happily trying out various entry level pens, and although I've been tempted by a couple of the more expensive pens here I always end up deciding I'd rather spend the money on a few cheaper options instead. I figure cheaper pens hurt less if they turn out to be lemons.
That said, I always enjoy (today excepted of course) seeing what new fountain pen offerings massdrop has served up overnight.
