Inexpensive heavy weight pens that write well considering their price point.

Writes fine but a bit too scratchy for my taste. The inkflow is also not great, at times I even thought that my cartridge was empty when in reality the ink was just not flowing to the tip.

Good value. Writes well, but very lightweight. For a daily use pen, the price is right.

These pens write very well. They are built as well as any other <$20 pen I have owned with a good nib that starts easily and puts down a nice even line. It's a <F> nib but that is on the Euro/American scale. It's more similar to the <M> nibs from the Japanese manufacturers like Pilot and Sailor. Just a touch on the dryer side but still quite a comfortable stroke with none of the feedback you'll get from a <F> Sailor nib.
However, someone was asleep in the design phase.
The barrel of the pen is large enough to accommodate the length of a standard international converter but the inside diameter is just a bit too tight with most. I tried several different converters and most of the cheaper ones wouldn't fit at all because they lacked the little step down at the end that shrinks the diameter enough to fit inside the nib housing. The ones that had the step down were just too thick to fit inside the barrel without damaging the converter.
I eventually found that this Monteverde convereter has a bit slimmer diameter and fits well in this pen: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EDYT06/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Someone at Ohto should have just said "Hey, lets run the drill bit up and down the barrel one more time and then you could use a normal converter" But they didn't.

The design is very nice and the weight is a little on the light side for my taste but not a huge problem. The ink is pretty terrible on most paper but in my Clairefontaine My Essential notebook it writes really well. The nib is a little scratchy but on my notebook it is not noticeable. I am not in expert in this or have yet to try but I believe one can purchase a converter or other cartridges to remedy the ink problem some have had. Overall very happy with my purchase especially with the price.

these pens leave a lot to be desired. The ink cartridge is short and when writing them it rattles due to the short catridge. I also don’t like the feel of the pen in my hand. I’m not sure if it’s the material it’s made from or if ite the multiple sides it has. I wish I would have not wasted my money.

Nice weight and design. However, the nib is scratchy and starts hard. It might be better with some adjustment. Mine have sat in my drawer after a few months of irregular use.

Writes every time. No false starts on all paper so far. Use it every day.

The ink is craptastic, it bleeds on the best of my paper. The nibs are nearly unresponsive, and akin to writing with 20grit sandpaper on the inside of my cheek. I don't believe these nibs were ever finished. Worst pens I've ever had the displeasure of owning. I made the mistake of purchasing them, I will quietly put them away as a lesson learned. Massdrop is not to be trusted for pens.

Pens arrived and I was expecting nothing special because they were so cheap. I was happily surprised by the build quality of the OHTO and how they perform. They really can't be beat at the Massdrop price.
I'd be interested in a drop that offered Fine nib if you're listening Massdrop
