Greetings! I believe that this pen was formerly known as the F-Spirit. The aluminium barrel and fine nib only option are very similar if it is not the same pen. The Jazz does appear to offer more color options. I have a F-Spirit which I use as a travel pen - no cracking worries! My only disappointment when compared to the Pilot Metropolitan is the presence of a plastic piece in the cap shaped like a Phillips head screw - you need to place the nib in just so otherwise it jams and the cap does not stay on. Hopefully they have adjusted this on the new model.
