The OHTO Proud vs. Celsus are practically the same pen. Here are the differences. OHTO Proud Fountain Pen · The finial on the barrel is flat and are the same color of the pen. · The finial on the cap is rounded and the same color of the pen. · The gold trim ring is attached to barrel. · The feed and nib holder are black as the grip section.
OHTO Celsus Fountain Pen · The finial is round on the cap and is gold in color. · The barrel is one piece with no finial or gold trim ring. · The gold trim ring is on the barrel. · The feed and nib holder are gold matching the pen trim color.
I find both pens styles to work the same with similar weights they are very comfortable for all day writing. Found the fine nibs on both models to be very smooth with very good ink flow from the feed. I did not find the pens to be cheaply made though I will say the finish will scratch if not carried properly or dropped onto a rough surface. Your mileage may differ. If you are new to fountain pens and are looking for a decent upgrade in the full metal category, I believe you will not go wrong with these fountain pens.
Hope this helps.
