Don't fill it!!!!! Don't leave water in it! Don't stand it on its end. Only add a small amount of water. Got the purple one in the last drop. It started leaking right away. Spoke to Oliso, they said never leave any water in the iron. (BTW It is almost impossible to get all the water out even if you shake it upside down.) I have used it almost every day with a squirt bottle of Mary Ellen's BP. It's a good concept. I hope they fix the design to prevent leaks. Never had a leak with my 1996 Rowenta.

Labrador-MomIt’s easiest to drain the water out by putting it way over on its side after it’s cooler, in your dish drainer and let gravity do the work. I usually let it sit like that overnight.
