This was taken with a similar lens, a Lumix 20mm. I like this focal length. It's a good general purpose lens -- not too wide when you want to walk around with just one lens. This was shot at 2.8.

RickDYour Panasonic 20mm/f1.7 is immensely sharper and overall better than the Olympus 17mm/2.8. Stay away from the Olympus 17mm/f2.8. It's a very dated lens, there are better alternatives that are sharper and show less distortion and chromatic aberration. http://www.imaging-resource.com/lenses/panasonic/20mm-f1.7-asph-lumix-g/review/

ErebosI'm sure those numbers are right and the comparison bears considering. However, for most photographers, the differences might not be significant. Take a look at these sample images from DPreview: https://tinyurl.com/lg4mwpn

RickDI didn't say it can't take decent photos. You can take great pictures with way worse gear, the question is why buy inferior gear when you can get better for the same price.
