I used this lens for about a year and found it a good all round kit lens, however for the price of this drop I'd probably try to pick up a 12-40mm in good condition on the second hand market for a bit more money. Being a kit lens these also tend to go quite cheap second hand.

djprYeah, I use this lens now and it is pretty good but I got it used at basically new condition for under $200. I'm now working on buying a used 12-40 in the $450-500 range. No reason to buy this lens new.
