Great price on a great lens! When traveling, I carry three lenses: the f/2 12 mm, the f/1.8 45 mm and the 14-150. This one rarely leaves my camera--and if I'm carrying two bodies (get the 12 mm for silent street shooting on the E-M5 lI !!), it definitely doesn't get any rest. I've since sold/given away my 12-50 and 40-150; this lens has nearly everything the 12-50 has (how often do you actually use the motorized zoom?), and while slightly bulkier, I don't believe it's any longer. The lens hood is a nice addition and protects it from the typical bumps. IQ is solid, better than the 3 other basic zooms (14-42, 12-50, 40-150), and focal length range nearly covers all of them combined (again, try to get the 12mm!). The only downside is f/6.3 at the long end--I believe it trips over from 5.6 around 90-100mm--but that life. If you're considering an upgrade from the kit lens(es), this is where I'd go first.

climbrocksCan you please clarify the f/6.3 comment? It's stated to be f/5.6 at the long end, is it not?

BuyrI stand corrected. It is f/5.6 at the long end of course that's not the same as having f/5.6 on a full frame camera (off the top of my head I'd say it's closer to f/7.1 on a m43), but that's not what you were asking!
