Mr.InfinityIt is unlocked and I should imagine it will work in the EU, I wouldn't imagine anyway they would be daft enough to send you a phone that didn't logically thinking, as this would be bad business for MD.

Deathproofbum01Yeah I though so, Just making sure. Do you think the One Plus X is a better choice than the LG G3(175EU)?

Mr.InfinityMy personal preference would be the LG G3, you can pick them up brand new at prices below the X from eBay, also the specs with the Quad HD 5.5 inch display is superior, I was also informed by a seller that even the US version will work and these come at an even lower price, but still check first. Don't forget these are flagship phones only about 18 months old, but are less than a third of the price now, the X is a midrange model.

Deathproofbum01I think I might go with the G3, it's a dope ass phone, however I prefer a 5 inch screen. In your would the S5 be a better choice? They go for about the same price (the S5 around 20$ more)

Mr.InfinityIf your own personal preference makes you unhappy with the larger G3 despite whatever advantages it may bring over the Samsung, meaning if the 5.5 inch size screen display is going to make handling it difficult on a daily basis then you must put your priorities in a list when comparing the two and figure out which is more important to you. Don't forget though a larger screen doesn't necessarily mean a much larger phone as it also depends on the phones overall design aswell, so check out the overall dimensions first between the two, they are both flagship models trying to give you the best of what's available at the time, as phone size doesn't bother me personally and the LG giving a better display with negligible lag this would be my choice, but maybe just to big for you, as you are the one who must live with it for a while this is a choice that can only be made by you.

Deathproofbum01OK as far as design goes the LG is gorgeous, but unwieldy for my preference. Ignoring those, performance-wise, which do you recommend? (sorry for annoying you, if you want don't answer :D)

Mr.InfinityNo worries, the LG screen is a 5.9 inch screen, excuse me for my mistake firstly, I actually have a Sony Xperia ultra I use on occasion, so screen size is not an issue for me, but as far as dominant specs go the S5 is 2.5 Ghz compared to 1.5 Ghz on the LG, both have 2gb RAM, both have expandable storage upto 128gb, however the S5 starts with a 16-32gb capacity and the LG is 32gb, so the comparison in price between base storage must be taken into account when considering price. The S5 has a smaller battery but runs 5.0.1 lollipop whereas the LG 4.4.4 kitkat with the SD card troubles that come with it, camera's (Which don't personally bother me) 16mp for S5 and 13mp for the LG but take into account software and that higher mega pixels don't always account for a better picture. Overall with taking screen size into account your obvious choice would be the S5, as even the smaller battery can be overcome by a small battery charger if need arises, and also for the LG you could root it and upgrade the platform if you so wish, performance wise with snapdragon 801 and the 330 Andreno CPU the S5 is the faster phone but again lag will be negligible between the two, but I would recommend the S5 for you personally speaking if pushed because specs are better overall in conclusion.

Mr.InfinityYour very welcome, glad to be of help and never been called a God before! So very uplifting. Can I just add to the subject about the bands is that the North American unit compared to the EU one is missing TDD-LTE bands 38-40, apart from that you can still use it with any sim covering the other bands which is the vast majority, if you don't at the moment use either of these bands, (check your phone you most likely don't) but you are future proofed for them, if as I suspect MD has gotten the EU model in stock to sell with the added extra bandwidth, which I suspect they will have to cover all base's then no worries, the LTE adds for speedier downloads from the Web, but if you only use calls predominantly on it and mostly use home WiFi there's nothing to worry about. But if your going for the S5 anyway, who cares, hey!
