What will canceling our orders do, make us wait longer to get the phone from others sources? I don't think you guys understand, because a week is a long time. Feels kinda shitty.
Edit: Actually, think about this. Massdrop originally estimated that the phones would ship from the warehouse on the 15th. Now they're saying the phones will only arrive in the warehouse on the 22nd, plus a few days for packaging and shipping. Realistically that means we can expect the phones in the first week of May.
May. We placed the order at the end of March. For $20? This isn't worth the delays. At this point I think I could cancel my order and buy it directly from Oneplus and still get it before Massdrop ships out.
Now I understand this was all estimated, but at the same time, I don't think it's fair you didn't reach the estimate, and the news came to us so late. You said you would contact us if "anything came up". Obviously, something came up because we have a week (technically more, because you still have to sort package and ship yourselves) delay on an already slow estimate. If you had told me this 4-5 days ago I would have immediately canceled my order and bought it directly from Oneplus. I think you lied. I think you knew this would happen, so you told us the bad news at the last moment so it's not worth buying it elsewhere.
I say take AT LEAST $10 off everyone's orders. We all know you make money taking some of the bulk pricing savings. I think you messed up bad. If you're not going to give any discount, or some sort of compensation, there's no reason to wait this long for an already "eh" deal. There's no reason to use Massdrop to save $20 if I'm getting the phone literally a month and some change after I ordered it.
Honestly, I like you Massdrop. But I think you dropped the ball.

EatingInternetTheir estimate may be off by far, but getting the shipment is totally out of MS's control. Oneplus should be the one taking the ball for this drop.

LUNiiTiIf you hire someone to build you a home, and the subcontractors finish their job late, who's responsibility is it to make the project on time? Who's responsible? The company you hired, not the subcontractors. If OP takes too long it's massdrop's responsibility to either decrease the shipping time, or provide compensation for greatly exceeding their estimate.
Edit: I'm not saying Massdrop is at fault, I'm saying they're responsible for the situation. They're only at fault for not doing anything about it except saying "you can cancel your order of you don't want to deal with it".

EatingInternetI agree. It's been about a month since I ordered this thing and all we get is "hey wait longer or don't, we don't care" we were supposed to get emails saying what going on with our orders- the only emails I get from Massdrop is for me to check out other shit they want us to buy.. why would I buy more of anything if I haven't received my 1st order. And yet we have to come to the group chat just to find something out about it. Look if you're going to say you'll do something, do it. It's just good business practice but the way this is turning out I'm getting kind of peeved with this site and doubt I'll be a returning customer or recommend this site... I really don't like being that kind of person but you have to draw a line somewhere. Keep this crap up and it'll go from Massdrop to Assdropped.

LUNiiTiyea i agree with that, especially with the price drop bullshit now. but then again its also massdrops buisiness since they try to make stuff arrive cheaper to the customer. if prices drop within a month to the same price as massdrop then their business isnt profitable.
