Has anyone had any experience with Onkyo AVR's before?
This line has an industry exclusive with Sonos!

JaysunI had excellent experience with Onkyo for 10 years. However they had or still have HDMI circuit board issues. I switched to Marantz after my last Onkyo receiver spent more time being repaired than used. I don't know if they fixed this issue or not.

JaysunI don't get what the receiver does for Sonos... you still have to have a Sonos Connect to use it. Just the fact that it automatically switches on and chooses the source?

dnogsOne of the selling points of a Sonos system is being able to start music playing from the controller app. When you have a Connect or Connect Amp wired through a receiver, you have to power on the receiver and set the input separately. This is not a great experience.

HongerI guess that’s a pretty nice integration. I use Play-Fi throughout my house and it is frankly pretty buggy. Maybe it’s time to try Sonos.

dnogsI've been using Sonos products since around 2005, so I'm a big fan. Whole house synchronized streaming is a great feature marred by having to separately turn on a receiver and set the right input. I'm considering this drop primarily for the Sonos integration.
