I can't find any info on what version the HDMI ports are. If they're not 2.1 it seems like this will be obsolete in a short time.

trak49If you look in the description, under connectivity it tells you that the HDMI ports are 2.2.

jedi35The only "2.2" I see in the specs is " HDCP 2.2 Copy-Protection Compatibility". As for the HDMI, the newest HDMI written spec is 2.1 with only a handful of A/V equipment available with it now. It looks like 2019 will be the year of HDMI 2.1 and High Dynamic Range Plus (HDR+). Until then I'm sticking with my old stuff....

trak49Well then this receiver IS one of the few that has HDMI 2.2. Here is a quote from a link that describes the 730...
On the video side, the TX-RZ730 and TX-RZ830 include HDMI pass-through of HDR10, HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) and Dolby Vision formats as well as 4K/60p, BT.2020, 4:4:4, 24bit, and HDCP 2.2-protected video. Six rear HDMI inputs, Main Out, Zone 2 Out (Sub Out on the TX-RZ730) and a front HDMI input are included on both models.
