These things look like a beast.
However maybe someone can give me advice? I have a 13' long by 9' wide room for my home theatre, I have the seating and projector and everything. Would something like this and save up for speakers be a better deal, or would a home theater in a box be sufficient for my space? I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck.

NiteNinjaI have had the same Onkyo receiver for years. I can’t even remember how long but it’s been YEARS. It’s allowed me to expand my home theater as my budget allowed. I would never get a theater in a box. Any one of these theee receivers would be great.
I would upgrade to one of these models if I had a 4K tv and needed the latest version of HDMI.

KramarkKinda what part of me is thinking. Stereo equipment has followed people for decades and I think the same could go for a great unit.
