I think this is a better deal and you can get a rothco nylon sheath (also on Amazon) for just about half the price (with shipping and tax) as this machete. It's made of the same material and is the same quality exactly just 4 inches shorter. https://www.amazon.com/Ontario-Knife-Company-Retail-Machete/dp/B000MF7LK0/ref=sr_1_1?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1490705170&sr=1-1&keywords=ontario+12+in+machete

m0arpheusThat knife is not powder coated, not quality steel, not micarta handles, and 4 inches shorter. The price difference reflects a dramatic quality difference in a product aimed at a different purpose.

bitheadAfter researching the machete I posted further, I have to agree the blades are quite different in materials used. The machete I posted is made out of inferio 1095 carbon and the handle, without question, is shittier. That being said, what's the difference in purpose between the two machetes? They both are machetes, both have 3mm thick blades (as far as I can tell) and both are long enough to be used to whack away pushes and strong enough to break open coconuts (the fruit I would be tackling enthusiastically with either).
