Hello, I'm leaving my short experience with my Opus #1. Sorry for sharing it with you guys so late... I do consider myself as an audiophile, but I do lack in knowledge when it comes to DAP's or IEMs, but I'll be happy to share my personal thoughts about this product.
This is my first DAP device and I've been using it with my Noble X IEM. I've been using it for about over 3 months now and I have to say I am satisfied with it. My previous portable music device was my Galaxy S5, yes it's old and sounds terrible. Once I've switched to Opus #1, I've realized the huge difference when it comes to clarity and sound stage. I can hear the instruments and the vocals separately and noticed certain background instruments being played that I've never heard before with my Galaxy S5.
Even thought I love my first DAP, I had some annoying issues with it. First, it was the connectivity. Now, I'm not sure if my Opus #1 has some defective issues, but I had to re-plug and connect the USB cord on my Opus #1 at least twice to my desktop in order to show up in my computer. Second, there are certain errors I get once I connect it and have to restart my DAP. Third, is an another error when I play a different songs I get this random error saying that the media is unable to play so it skips it, but it works once I do it again. Fourth, it's the play/pause button. I usually click the pause button instead of taking my IEMs off when someone is talking to me. After a short conversation, I can't play my song when I click the play/pause button. I realized that once you pause your song for more than 5 seconds, you're unable to play it by click the play/pause button. The only way to play your song is literally by turning your Opus #1 screen and press the start button on the screen.
To be honest, those are minor issues. It is a complaint, but it doesn't bother me to a point where I want to get a refund.
Other things I want to share with you guys is about the leather case. I know you guys won't be getting the leather case in this drop, but be aware that the case will leave a mark easily if it's being pressured against by something. For example, I had my IEMs wrapped around the DAP and now it has a mark on the back of the case. Also, this device works well with headphones, but I would recommend for IEMs mostly. If you noticed, the fonts is golden if you look at the image I uploaded. I was hoping to be the way how it looks like on the Massdrop, but after the update it's different now.
Thank you, hope it helped a little.

KITTYI just got mine yesterday, I didnt expect to be so bulky and I have the same issues you mentioned, especially the USB connection and it seems to get a little hot while playing. But overall it sounds great.

cualquier-cosaYes, it's hard to carry it around for me since I wear tight jeans for example. At least, it's not heavy since it is made out of plastic. I've held an Opus #2 before and it's a bit thinner and wider than the previous versions ( Opus #1 ), but it was extremly heavy due to the metal construction. It gets hot I agree, but just a little like you've said. The only thing that really bothered me was the USB connection issue... sometimes it works magically and sometimes you gotta plug it or turn off and on couple times. Overall, beautiful device. Hope you enjoy it!

KITTYWith the play pause issue, just click the power button when it's in your pocket, then the play/pause and it'll start playing. The buttons react when the screen is on, this is the trade off for having such an efficient standby mode.

OstewartTrue, but it's hard for me to reach the play/pause button again when I'm wearing tight pants haha. It's no big deal, I usually carry it with my hand since it's light. Smart solution though!

OstewartI mean, I can fit the DAP in my pockets... it's just that it's pretty hard to reach the play/pause button lol.
