Is this a good watch? If so, can i find it cheaper somewhere? I dont have a "real" watch yet.

Swedeit might help if you define “good” i.e. clarify what you’re looking for. if you like its looks and features, that’s probably good enough.

SwedeOrient makes quality watches. They are generally highly accurate, feature in house movements and are priced very fairly. This watch is good looking in my opinion but a couple things I don't care for - 1) it doesn't have sapphire crystal. Not a big deal but I am pretty reckless with watches and tend to scratch mineral crystal glass. 2) This is pretty large at 43mm, 3) I don't really like the extra crown that comes with the slide rule complication. Others may like the size and the slide rule and if so this is a good watch for them. The crystal can always be replaced at some point if it scratches.
The power reserve function is fairly common on Orient watches and fairly rare on other watches - almost non-existent at this price range. This is a nice, fun feature showing how many hours the watch will run if you take it off. Generally if you wear a watch daily it is not an issue and will most likely be pegged at 40 hours most time.
The see through case back is a nice feature and particularly neat for those just getting into mechanical watches.
The movement here is non-handwinding, non-hacking. This tends to be considered lower tier (all else equal) than one that is hand windable and hackable. With handwinding you can just turn the crown to wind the watch. Otherwise you have to swirl the watch around to charge when first wearing it to get a charge going. The hacking feature allows you to synchronize your watch because when you set the time the second hand stops, where as non-hackable keeps moving which makes setting to the second difficult.

Erik1At this price you shouldn't expect sapphire crystal, and this uses their older movement sadly. But again, at this price point this is a very solid choice for an entry level mechanical watch. As someone with a larger wrist, I find the 41mm Orient Mako to be a bit small, and my 47mm Alpina to be a touch too large., I'd say if your wrist is 7+ inches this watch will look perfect.

KethIf you read what I wrote I said Orient makes good watches at fair prices so I don't know what you are taking issue with. Secondly, there are plenty of sub $200 watches with sapphire if you look for them. 3rd, this watch at 43mm is a little large. Traditionally watches are 40mm or less. But I am aware that many people like huge ostentatious watches which are larger than this. I own a couple 44mm watches because they were cool despite the large size. I still wish they were 40 to 42mm Everytime I wear them, 4th, I wrote the comment in response to Swede's unanswered question and I think I did it fairly even though the watch doesn't do it for me.

Erik1Whoa there friend, no need to get hyper defensive, I didn't mean to trigger you by giving him additional information. If you feel anything over 40mm is ostentatious, I don't know what to tell you, not everyone has a petite wrist. Generally speaking if your wrist is larger than 7 inches, a watch of this size will look proportional.

KethWhoa friend. You didn't respond to Swede but to me. If I am hypersensitive, you are sounding passive aggressiveness going on about me being "triggered" and talking about "petite wrists". Really? Maybe what you think looks proportional is ostentatious to many others. Further, your comment gave no additional info. I told him it is a little large but others like larger watches. To me anything over 42 is questionable on my pretty normal 7.5 inch wrist. And 43 is a bit large as I said of this watch. 44 I have as exceptions only. 45 is a dinner plate. Otherwise you gave bad info that you can't expect sapphire at this price when indeed you can if you look.

Erik1I would really love to see the selection of mechanical watches with sapphire under $200 that come from reputable sources.

Keth"At this price you shouldn't expect sapphire crystal."
Here's a watch that went here for the same price, a Seiko with sapphire:

Day and date, display back, no power reserve display, no slide rule. Perhaps a little simpler in complications than this one.

CloacaRight, it's not common to find, and that one isn't purchasable at this point. It's really not a feature to br expected in a sub $200 automatic watch, and shouldn't be held against it as something that's lacking.

KethMy original comment wasn't that it was a "no buy" due to lack of sapphire. I was answering a question. I gave the pluses and the minuses. I said it doesn't have sapphire but it wasn't a big deal and that if it got scratched you could replace it. Don't try to make it that you were correcting me on the sapphire. But there are plenty of sub 200 watches with sapphire, especially if you are patient and watch for sales. Orient, Seiko, Citizen and , many decent chinese brands including Seagull, etc.

KethI don't know how I forgot this orient I got from mass drop earlier this year for$138 w/sapphire. Really nice watch, actually. So, I think I have adequately demonstrated that sapphire at sub $200 is not all that rare. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/33210

Erik14 watches (a band change is not a new watch)...2 of which are from mass drop and not currently available at that price. If 4 watches is what you consider a large selection, we have very different definitions.

Erik1You are something. The Orient Ranger is indeed available at $149 currently from a reputable site. I would bet that seiko you discount for being a old mass drop is also available under $200 or close to, or will be if on sale, if you look. Problem is you don't want to look so you can continue to be a *ck. Don't be a *ick. Some of these watches are well below $200.
I wasn't even looking anymore, but was reviewing my purchases and remembered the Orient Ranger and realized that it qualified. I also noted I purchased a manual wind Seagull with sapphire for $129. Doesn't strictly qualify but I actually like manual winds as well as autos because they tend to be so thin. I also have a couple Perpetual watches with sapphire that I got sub $200 (those are no longer available) and another Chinese watch watch with a seagull movement that was only about $100 w/sapphire, nice watch and still available well under $200 https://www.seagullwatchstore.com/Classic-Rodina-Automatic-Wrist-Bauhaus-Watch-p/r005-arabic-white-dial.htm
