bri1232001I've worn a Blue Mako on the stainless band almost daily for about 9 years. The mineral crystal will definitely pick up scratches if you treat it as a beater watch. Mine has about a dozen obvious scratches but most of those were obtained while working on my truck, using power tools, moving piles of bricks, yard work, etc. For most of the nicks, I realized the precise "aw crap" moments when they happened, and they were situations when I could have just taken the watch off beforehand. While it's not impervious to scratching, it doesn't just acquire them out of thin air either. Some measure of care goes a long way.
