Hey! I just received my watch here in Toronto, Canada. Amazing fast shipping. It was sent out on the 14th of May. This watch is truly gorgeous! I can't believe the quality of this watch and its price. This was my first Massdrop and I'm very happy with the whole thing. I'll be here again...everyday! Great stuff!
soulbrothaI got mine too today, and did not get custom/duty/tax on it either. I bought 2 so I was worried but guess they let it go this time.
I swapped the strap to a NATO leather strap, and it looks nice. I'm not really liking the strap's big PVD rings though, will need to find a new strap with regular smaller rings.
JoshGspring bar tool. I personally always use pocket knife though. Put it face down but on a soft cloth or something. Use one hand to both hold the watch steady and simultaneously squeeze the rubber strap towards you, so the upper part of the spring bar is revealed. Slowly put the upper part of the knife against the groove on the bar and pull the knife steadily until the spring bar is released - it's not very hard but if you're not careful the knife can slip and scratch the watch or worse cut your hand. Or you can just take the watch to a nearby watch store and have them remove it.
JoshGThere are a lot of resources online which will be much more helpful than me explaining it in text. :) There's a metal bar which holds the rubber strap in place. They are spring loaded so they can be removed fairly easily. Once you remove the rubber strap, you should put the spring bars back into their place and then thread the nylon band through the bars.
