The Orient Star Retrograde looks like a venn diagram of sorts. Characterized by an array of arcs, circles, and semicircles, it beautifully combines multiple complications into a cohesive and balanced design Read More
If this is their “premium” line you’d think they would make an effort to match the bracelet to the case better.
Maybe on the shipping watches the bracelet lines up better but the pictures make it look like an aftermarket bracelet that “sorta kinda” matches the curvature of the case.
I’m not sure if we are talking about the same thing.
In my comment I was pointing out the gap between the bracelet and the case. It looks like about a millimeter or more where the bracelet meets (or doesn’t meet) the case closest to the lugs. It touches in the middle but doesn’t near the lugs, like the arc of the bracelet end is the wrong size.
I checked Orient’s website and they show what appears to be the same picture for this watch with the same gap, but the first response to my post shows a better fit so it’s possible that the picture is either a preproduction model or even a rendering and the shipping models have a better fit.
LeftybfhrggI see what you're talking about now....I don't own mine anymore but never noticed that on my watch...I think I would have...the bracelet was a standout as I remember it, but don't recall seeing any gaps
*sigh* Need the JDM version. Love this dial, but can’t get past the thickness.

Great watch, great company, but sadly not the greatest deal. I’ve been eyeing one of these for a while now (silver dial in particular) but these are widely available at the $399 level. If you have say, some YouTube reviewers discount code for joma, you can match the price.
Still, $20 less is $20 less and this is a cool watch.
The thickness of the case is not too troublesome even for a small wrist. On the other hand, it is necessary to have very good eyes to read the dial of the date of the day (less problematic for dials name of the day of the week and number of hours of reserve).
Very nice watch, sober and precise.
This is a beautiful watch with an AWESOME bracelet, I used to own it...my only issue was that I felt it was a bit too thick for it's 39.5mm diameter, felt a bit like a big mac on my wrist (to quote Dan Henry). If it were a 42, then the 14+ would work a little better, too bad they couldn't slim it down for the 39.5 mark. Great watch from a great company though!
