Fortunately/Unfortunately it's much too big for my wrist, i'll have to pass, but damn it looks nice! I'd totally rock that yellow strap. I've actually been checking this out the past few days, love the depth gauge feature.

TayathI have a 46-mm, 18+ mm thick 500 meters Glycine Combat Sub Aquarius, and it wears really nicely on my 7-inch wrists. But it has distinctly downturned lugs. The strap is obviously meant to be perpendicular to the watch. It's hard to judge from th photos here, but the lugs seem to be sending the strap out at a 45 degree angle, which may indeed require a large wrist.

All of a sudden this is not the deal I thought. The small print states that the bracelet is an extra $500. Joma Shop has the same deal

Ah, you are right. This shows the chrono steel set with rubber band included at that price.Sounds too good to be true at $1700........... But I pulled the trigger

JSPCLEAmazon offered this model and the Regulateur that also dropped today at the same price about three years ago. They haven't offered them at that price since, so they are good deals. I'd jump on the Big Crown Altimeter Pilot if they offered it

These are a good deal. Does any one know if there is a way to ask the vendor or massdrop about packaging and warranty etc?

JSPCLEGood questions! I had a similar question on a previous watch drop (see https://www.massdrop.com/buy/eberhard-co-chrono-4-temerario-automatic-watch/talk/1952095?utm_source=linkshare&referer=8N3Q6X). After no response for days, I had to go to the help center and contact Massdrop to get anyone to respond. When they did respond, they didn't even address my question (regarding the vendor), and they didn't really respond to my request for additional information either (regarding warranty). NOTE: I'm no expert on this, so perhaps someone more knowledgeable can correct me if I'm wrong. Now that that's clear, this drop has the same concerns as the one I commented on. This drop states that each of these watches has a "1-year Massdrop international watch warranty". So it clearly isn't the manufacturer's warranty, which is what you'd get buying from an authorized dealer (AD). That means these are grey market watches, similar to what you'd get purchasing via Amazon (in many cases) or Jomashop. From what I've heard from friends, while Jomashop offers a warranty, it's a terribly laborious process and basically very difficult to get any sort of help. That is from a company that sells primarily watches. So at a baseline, I'm skeptical of Massdrop's ability to warrant watches at this price point. In addition, when I specifically asked for any information that might comfort these concerns, the response I got was "we are able to offer our own warranty which would protect the product in a manner similar to how the manufacturer would." I'm pretty sure the warranty that Oris--the manufacturer of these watches--would offer is, basically, "if it ends up being faulty within x time, Oris (or a certified Oris repair operation) will fix it or replace it." Here, however, I have no clue who would be doing the fixing or replacing. So until someone at Massdrop actually explains their warranty, and where they're getting these watches that aren't authorized to be sold here by the manufacturer, I think I will refrain from getting such an expensive watch from Massdrop. I'd like to add that I have purchased a watch from Massdrop around the ~1k range. That was a Glycine, a little over a year ago, and had a 2-year manufacturer's warranty. So I'm not knocking Massdrop's sale of watches in general, or even expensive watches. Just expensive watches with sketchy sources and unexplained warranties. /endrant

There are three versions, two of the chronograph ones, what's the difference between these two? I thought they come with both steel and rubber band, so then what remains?

There are three options (one in the mean time sold out): Aquis Depth Gague - 01 733 7675 4754-Set RS Aquis Depth Gague Chrongraph - 01 774 7708 4154-Set MB Aquis Depth Gague Chrongraph - 01 774 7708 4154-Set RS
Now, if I had to guess, RS means rubber strap, and MB means metal band. However, the description says:
The standard version comes with BOTH a black and yellow rubber strap; the chronograph version comes with a black rubber strap AND a stainless steel bracelet. (emphasis added).
So why are there two versions of the chronograph version? Is that one set that comes with yellow and black rubber band, and one that comes with black rubber strap and metal bracelet? Or what?
The description is lacking!

rcfaPropably MB and RS defines which one comes pre-attached to the watch. Other one (bracelet or strap) will be separately inside the box.
