I thought today was going to be a good day
hyperchord24Does it have a sensor in it that prevents anyone that is male from wearing it? It's not like it's hot pink and says "juicy" on it (altho, some guys may like that, I'm not judging). I mean, it's still a 36mm watch, which I know is considered "small" these days. But, I'm sure it would still look good on a male wrist.
hyperchord24I wasn't implying it was "sexist", I was implying that you were precluding this from being useful to you because it was listed as a "women's watch". Your post didn't state "too small", it stated *About to click on join, but notices "women's watch"*. Out of curiosity, how big is your wrist? With a 36mm diameter and 40mm lug-to-lug size, I think this would fit on a lot of people's wrists. I know the trend is oversized watches these days, but I don't think this would look like you're wearing a kid's watch if you have an average sized wrist.
YabosMcGeeI think the strap seals it as a woman's watch, 18 mm down to 14 mm. And most of the taper is near the lugs.
And the strap is proprietary, so you can't swap it out. And for reference, a replacement silicone strap from another Swiss watch maker was quoted to me at $241 bought direct from the maker, so I think that even replacing this strap if you cut it too short is not practical.
Trust me guys. Do what I do in situations like this. Make a cardboard mock-up with the same diameter and thickness and strap profile, and put it on your wrist.
By the way, I bought this for my wife the last drop, so my judgment is based on actually seeing it in the flesh.
I posted several YouTube videos below during the first drop of this watch, and at least one of them is a guy doing a review, and you can pretty much see the problem.

YabosMcGeeYep, the Seiko SKX013 diver is a men's watch at 38mm. I have a Movado Museum that I bought from Movado in Manhattan about 30 years ago that's 32mm. They did not sell me a woman's watch. I also own my grandfather's Benrus 3021 that is about 33.5mm. I also have a Jaeger-LeCoultre Futurematic that weighs in at 35mm. And I also own a vintage Seiko 6039-729A that's 42mm. But that's about reaching the upper end of my size limit. I think this Oris would look fine on most men's wrists except for the fact that it looks like the band tapers too much. For men it would probably look better with a black bracelet that is a bit wider. Just my 2¢.
There were a couple of guys who ordered this on the last drop for themselves, but somehow they fell of the edge of the earth after that. I haven't seen any wrist shots posted. If someone wants to read this thread from the beginning and collect their handles, we can message them and ask for pix. I bet, however that the watches ended up with their wives or girlfriends.
And again, I have this watch right here in front of me. in my wife's watch box. I considered doing a wrist shot myself, but the damn thing won't even go over my hand with the deployant clasp opened, and I don't want to screw up my wife's sizing.
YabosMcGeePardon me for voicing my opinion on the fucking internet. I'm pissed that Oris is on here, but for the smaller size. That's all. Jesus Christ I can't be mad that I got my hopes up?
