God that’s pretty, but my little wrists just can’t hack it

Mkovacs13 May I ask how large your wrist is? I'm pretty new to horology and am trying to soak up any wisdom I can get. Thanks.

Blair_Heavenwood6-1/2” The biggest I can wear would be a 44mm, after that it breaks my cardinal rule: Thou shalt not wear a watch in which the lugs extend over thou’s wrist.

Mkovacs13Thanks. My wrist is taping in at 7 1/4", but 47 mm is way bigger than my next biggest piece (42mm). It's hard to imagine. I wish I had an AD nearby.

Blair_HeavenwoodI bought a 45-mm Seiko here, out lugs, for $120 last year. I don't like it, it's quartz, but it helped me understand two things: thet I can wear a 45-mm watch with no problems, and that I hate chronographs and watches with lots of complications. Oh, also, that I hate watches that are gold color or plated. So maybe you should go to JomaShop and buy a big throwaway watch to test the size with.
