Nice watch, but not worth $1,100.00 in my opinion. No watch with a Sellita SW200-1 is worth that much. Nothing special about this one, no added complications, just the Oris dial and case. There was a Glycine drop a few months back with the exact same movement for a fraction of the cost (around $300.00, if memory serves me).

mrsenseTo further prove my point, just today they announced a Glycine Combat 6 Classic Automatic drop. GL224 movement - actually, it's an ETA 2824 of which the Sellita SW200-1 is a clone. Drop cost: $280.00 (list $1,250.00). Now this is more like it.

Laszlo662Well, at least 37 people doesn't agree with your opinion. For me personally a watch is more than just its movement, the dial, case, crystal, and even the strap added to its value as a whole. As for the glycine drop ( I'd assume it's the Glycine Combat 6), I think it's a great value at 300 and you will find it on sale for that price in grey market shop like jomashop just like you will find the Oris Sixty-five selling at around 1000.

Laszlo662There are other examples: Longines, Tissot or even Tudor. We pay for the watch and not only for the movement.

lukinidI grant you the added value, but that is mere flesh, bones and skin, which ages with time - as we all do. The movement is the soul of the watch. Beauty diminishes with age, but the watch that still keeps good time after five or ten years is a good watch.
